We’re in the heart of retrograde season. This time around we’ve got Uranus joining the retrograde cluster. Uranus turns retrograde at 18 degrees of Taurus in August (24th) and will slowly make it’s way through the retrograde period, stationing direct at 14 degrees in the same sign on January 22nd of next year. Uranus is considered an outer planet (natal Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto), this means we’ll be feeling the effects of this retrograde on a more subconscious level over a longer period of time. The main areas that Uranus governs in our lives are freedom, individuality, and change. Uranus is also the planet associated with the collective conscious. Uranus is also a generational planet, meaning most people in an age group or generation will share the same Uranus sign. This can mean that many people will experience similar themes, relating to different areas in their lives. For instance, a person with natal Uranus in the first house might make some changes in their appearance. On the other hand, someone with natal Uranus placed in the ninth house could experience shifts in their personal philosophies. These are just a couple of general examples, you’ll have to look at your natal chart to get more specifics for your individual experience.
